Formation Badges h Cole 136/137
Formation Badges H Cole 136 & 137,
The only reference I've been able to find for the Coast Artillery School shows the red target, I have yet to find any examples showing the black target described in the text.
Just because I'm unable to find an example of the black and white target does not necessarily mean it didn't exist, Publishing error aside, I have no reason to doubt Cole so I have included both red and black versions.
Also Cole fails to mention the position of the colours for the Coast Artillery Units, Red being the foremost colour should be in the upper half, again there are illustrations showing the opposite,
Again I've included both just to show right and wrong.

Starting to play around with Linux on my old lap top, so I'm getting a little side-tracked finding a graphics program that's idiot poof,
Xara [MAGIX] for Linux seems promising but with several features missing and having being left in limbo by developers it appears to be a lost opportunity, as for the Gimp quit frankly I hate it and since neither Serif or Xara appear to be showing any interest in developing Linux programs, it may be a case of put up with what's on offer.
So for now it's Micro*h*t....

Formation Badges H Cole 140/41 & 142
Pages 140 to 142,
Unable to find any formation badges for Troops Engineers to cross reference,, Added the Ensign badge just for a comparison between the two designs, did the same for the Air Signals.

Formation Badges WW2 H Cole pages 143 & 144,
The next couple of pages are for RASC vehicle marking's [145/6] which I may leave alone, they tended as a rule just to be stenciled onto the vehicle in black or white paint, unlike the vehicle corps/regiment insignia.

The home guard on page 149 aren't illustrated in the book, I've added a couple just for interest..not quite sure about the 5th Battalions.

Formation Badges WW2 H Cole 'THE END'!!!
Last two pages of badges with a couple of more add-ons, the remaining pages only have the formation index, list of abbreviations, service strips and descriptive index which I have decided not to bother with unless ask for.
It has being surprising had to find badge details for the Italian Co-belligerent formations, Rosignoli's 'The Allied Forces in Italy 1943-45' coming out on top but showing some of the badges to have gold/black insignia rather than the blue described by Cole, To keep loyal to Cole I've used blue but my personnel opinion I'm tending to believe Rosignoli.
Having only found a few poor examples on-line, I'm remain in limbo regarding the Co-belligerent formations...

All the posted pages along with the index pages from the book put into pdf format.
Had to reduce the page size to accommodate the upload restrictions.
An add page loads first, wait a few seconds and click skip add to enter the file download.
