Norway King's Royal Guard

Yes I know that Nils Olav of the Hans Majestaet Kongens Guards is more photographed than any other serving Norwegian soldier but he has recently been promoted to senior rank and most penguins don't make it beyond visekorporal. I just feel that it should be noted.

On a note more directly relevant to this web-site the Norwegian Guards wear a uniform unchanged, except in cut, since 1860. Oberst Olav wears his insignia of rank strapped to the right flipper.
