Monaco "Royal Guard" uniform WW2?
Does anyone know what was worn during WW2? Was the Britsh style police helmet worn? Raja.

I can only surmise that the same uniform worn pre-war carried on to be used during the war. As a more or less ceremonial organisation I can't believe that any significant changes in uniform took place during the war. So I suppose the answer is no a British style helmet wasn't worn, more a French style sun helmet in blue or white, depending on the season.

Sean, you mention pre war uniform for WW2, would this be open or closed tunic? What one of your excellent collection of photos would it be ? Pat.

Closed collar was worn until after the war.
I have yet to do a disk on Monaco so I can't direct you to a collection.
I'll try to add a picture later
