A Policeman on St Helena, 1940
A lovely picture of a helpful policeman on the island of St Helena, circa 1940.
KD throughout with a blue and white duty armlet on the left sleeve.
Given the size of the island I'm not sure what directions he has to give.

Jersey Occupied
I have a little booklet purchased for the princely sum of 35 pence.
Called 'Jersey Occupied unique pctures of the Nazi rule 1940-1945' printed around 1970 and dedicated to the men and women of Jersey who died in Hitler’s concentration camps, who died serving in His Majesty’s Forces 1939-45 and who escaped from the island during the Occupation and who died trying to escape.
It’s just over sixty pages of pictures, many blurred and not of great print quality, but the introduction page is illustrated with a picture of German troops marching in St Helier titled ‘THE Goose-step in St Helier'. Another small picture of Red Cross supplies stored in Patriotic Street St Helior under supervision of German Police.
One of the last pictures is of German prisoners marching of to work in St Helier under British escort.
Regards
WF

Here's a page from the book Jersey Occupied, as you can see the quality isn't anything to write home about,

I made the mistake of using mediafire which is becoming a right royal pain to use try the link if you so desire.
