Royal Afghan Army
Until 1973 Afghanistan was a constitutional monarchy, and hence had a royal army.
I can find little on the forces of Afghanistan so am starting this thread in the hope of getting some input from everyone.

King Mohammad Zahir Shah (1914 - 2007 r. 1933 - 1973)
The cockade on his cap (above the badge) is triangular, similar to the rounder used by the Afghani Airforce 1967 -1979 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
