Prior to 1958 Iraq was a Kingdom, and hence had a Royal Army.
It was heavily influenced by the occupying British, but had something of its own style (especially the Guards).
Additions would be appreciated.

Hello,

i have found these photos of Iraqi officers in the 1930s.

But i haven't found any showing the enlisted men in their shirts, shorts, puttees, khuda helmet and m1908 kit. ("Unknown armies Iraq",Peter Abbott).

This cavalry is post-WWII, I'm afraid. Photo dated 1957.
