Ghurka NCOs chevrons
What color were the Gurkha NCO chevrons? Were they green outlined by red, black outlined by red or what?
Thanks in advance.

Gurkha
The Uniform was dark green [rifle] with black facings, rank badges black.
NCO's badges depending on uniform & date would have green, red or no backing.
Pipe Major rifle green with black piping.

Gurkha NCO chevrons
...Thanks, wfrad. I guess I will have to be more specific. I want to paint a Gurkha sgt marching some men past the 2nd Regt truncheon. All are wearing red facings for the 2nd Regiment. The time is 1910-1914 and all are in dress green uniforms. Now, specifically, what color chevrons would he be wearing? I think(?) dark green with a red edge.
Thanks again.
Terry

I would agree, dark green (almost black) chevrons on red background.

I would have thought black on red like the King's Royal Rifle Corps
