Attached is a coloured plate from Encipeida Universal showing the uniforms of the Spanish Navy during the early 1920s. The last three figures show examples of the Marine Infantry. The blue and red Naval officers' full dress uniform (figures 11-17) seems a trifle archaic by the standards of this comparatively recent period but I recently saw a colour photo of an identical uniform for sale on an eBay type website - it had apparently been obtained as a souvenir by a US serviceman exploring the Governor's Palace in Manila during the Spanish American War.
