Iraq 1941 - Police

Found this in Boris Mollo's THE KENT YEOMANRY:

Note the colored cuffs, collar and shoulder straps of the Iraqi policeman. I'm not sure what was bagged here--birds, rabbits, maybe hedgehogs.

I was looking through the Britsh Pathe site a couple of days ago and came across a very similar uniform from the 1950s. Instead of the khaki I expected, the jacket was a blue-grey colour with dark blue facings. Very distinctive.
