Don't know an awful lot about them but with my interest in Scottish style uniforms I couldn't pass it up.
I know they have been going for a number of years, not sure about the band.

I thought only the British and Indian armies had Gurkha units. Does Britain still station troops in Brunei?

Yes, according to Wiki:

One battalion from the Royal Gurkha Rifles, Training Team Brunei (TTB), and 7 Flight Army Air Corps

I also believe they have some sort of Jungle Warfare training center there as well.

There are Gurkha units in the Indian army, the Singapore Police, the former Federation of Malaysia Police, and of course the Nepalis army.
I have covered some in the CD on Gurkhas in British Service Vol.1 and in the Other Nations volume of Scottish & Irish Uniforms of the Commonwealth.
