Hi Guys,
This photo from Flickr is described as
Members of the U.S. Canal Zone Police taking part in an expedition by naturalists into the flora and fauna of the Panama Canal Zone during 1912.

Cam anyone confirm that these guys are actually what it states, the look seem to fit a description I have read and the hat badge is suppsed to be a wreath with ZP inside, the man on the right certainly looks to have this hat badge plus an offical looking breast badge.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards.

Are you aware of the Company of Military Historians uniform plate for the Canal Zone police? It is based on the memoirs of an American who was in the force.

Correct, these are Canal Zone Police. The Canal Zone Police Department existed from 1904 until the 1982 handover of the Canal Zone back to Panama.
