Wouldn't Venezuela's National Guard have worn the standard Army uniform with maybe some insignia to indicate Guard status?

The drawing was taken from a photograph with a guess at the colours.
There doesn't seem to be alot of information available on Venezuelan forces.
Do you know of any references for them?

Yes, I am lucky enough to have both of these.
Its Venezuelan books that will give the detail required, and they seem very difficult to come across.

The uniform appears to be correct but I believe the collar tabs had either the letters "GN" or the words "Guardia Nacional".

I take it there's no info or photos on what accoutrements(, belts, cartridge pouches, canteens, haversacks, etc) or steel helmets they would've worn. I know the Venezuelans did use the Mauser rifle and I believe the Madsen machine gun.

I saw two photos taken during WWII showing Venezuelan soldiers, one being an honour guard for a visiting dignitary and another a machine gun team I believe. In both of those photos they were wearing the U.S. old pattern helmet, the M1917 I think it is called. The honour guard had leather gaiters one would usually associate with cavalry.

Were they wearing leather or webbing belts, pouches, or did the pics show them?

I didn't see any of them wearing braces of the load-bearing equipment but I think they had leather belt equipment and I am certain the officer closest to the camera had a leather U.S. Army pistol holster, I think with "U.S." still embossed on it as opposed to one specially-made for the Venezuelan Army. It was a grainy photo and they were standing at "present arms" with the rifles out (except the officer who was at "attention" but with no rifle) but from what little I could see of their cartridge belt it looked most similar to the German model. The rifles appear to be Mausers.
