Imperial War museum
I've just had a look at the IWM site to see if there was any more information about the Pals.
I've found the Imperial War Museums web page to be hit and miss site at best, for example when I've returned to the site, this image and many other images were no longer available.
A couple of years ago I emailed them pointing out numerous missing links. Give them their due they did reply, a reply that just made excuses and checking back nothing had been changed.
For what it's worth, in my opinion, if you intend to entice people to visit, a web page full of missing images isn't the way forward. If you have bitten of more than you can chew, take smaller bites.
There could be a number of reasons for this but such as browser or system issues, those are the usual excuses.
Although this issue of some images being unavailable while others are available, looks to be just bad maintenance/design.
I have visited the museum, before and after the upgrade and sorry to say I'm wasn't impressed with the then update to the museum.
Style of substance comes to mind. That was several years ago so they may have improved the museum, although the web page doesn't give any indication of any improvement.
Yet IMHO Leeds Armoury is well worth a visit. A modern museum that has managed to combined both style and substance.
Here's the result for 'Cardiff Pals.
