interesting Ottoman uniform
Sean, the tunic appears to be as in the group photo but has the French style rank cuff knots and shoulder cords rather than the Austrian cuff knots and fringed epaulettes of the officers in photo. There seem to have been some major changes to the uniforms of the Imperial Guard around the years just before WW1 but I know of no good reference, only the odd photos. Perhaps a Turkish reader of this forum can shed some light on this. Can anyone post photos of the red and white Guard uniform around 1912 whichSean made a drawing of?
