French Navy WWII uniforms, ranks.
Here's a chart for the French Navy WWII.
French rank's don't really follow those of the USN/RN, for example Enseigne de Vaisseau could be two grade's of Ensign, yet are on par with Lieutenants.
The rank of Admiral of the Fleet was created for Admiral Darlan, June 1939, and ceased to exist along with the Admiral in 1942.
The officers of corps could as a rule graduate up to two flag ranks, some could only attain one.
Officers of the Commissioned Enlisted Corps [Fleet Equipage] could not reach flag rank.
