These are from the French language Chasseur de Memoires site. The French 358e Regiment d'Infanterie was converting to the 9e Chasseurs and simultaneously training Polish troops at Monthureux-sur-Saone in February 1919. The Polish troops, including some French staff, would soon go to the wars in eastern Europe.

Fantastic Michael, as ever. Thank you for the pictures, they are an excellent 'snapshot' of history. Any speculation on the role of the guy in dark blue?
