Re: Danish West Indies
There have been several previous posts about this topic.
To make it short; they had 4 armed forces: the Royal Danish Navy, the Royal Danish Army, the Danish West Indies Gendarmerie Corps (paramilitary police), and the Danish West Indies Militia.
Of course, the Danish West Indies were sold to the US in 1917 and remain a US territory to this day. At the time of the handover, the militia wore a khaki colored uniform with a pith helmet and the Gendarmerie wore a similar uniform but in white or grey.

Re: Danish West Indies
Thanks Chris! Do you know anything about their uniforms during the 1800s?

Re: Danish West Indies
Thank you again Chris. Is there any text explaining to which regiment did those men belong?

Re: Danish West Indies
I would imagine that the actual plates that one can buy through the website do come with text but the website just includes the image with no details. Sorry
