Some US Marines circa 1930
From the auction sites. First a decoration ceremony in 1930 to a Marine for an action in Nicaragua. Note the officer's Mameluke style sword hilt, a reference to the "shores of Tripoli" and actions against the Barbary pirates early in the Corps' history.
