Siam's Tiger Scouts

I have been fascinated by the Tiger Scouts in Siam for some time, but have had little success finding definitive information. Their ceremonial uniform appeared to be black with different coloured facings for individual units.
I believe they were something of a mix between a private army of the King and a youth club.
Can anyone help?
