1900 Bogota Police Colombia

This is a great group photo of the 'Bogota Police' of Colombia at the turn of the century.

With the Samour Kepi and double breasted tunics I think they look quite European.

Looks like moustaches were only allowed for ranking officers as the two junior ranks on the left and right are clean shaven.

I agree, they look quite European looking. My guess is the same as yours, the 4 in the middle with facial hair and cuff bars are ranking officers while the ones of the end with cuff chevrons are probably senior NCOs.
