Australian Horse, 1900s
An excellent picture of other ranks of the Australian Horse after Federation.
They continue to wear a dark green uniform, the colour introduced in the 1890s. But now its in a more standard pattern of jacket.
The dark hat, side cap and plume remain, as do the long puttees.
