The nascent Czechoslovakian army wore a mix of Austrian, French, Italian, and Russian uniforms until the early 1920's when the new khaki uniforms were issued. The first 2 photos show ex-Austrian uniforms being worn, with new insignia, while the bottom photos show the new khaki dress, which had been influenced partly by the contemporary US Army uniform, with the peaked cap influenced by the British model.

Some very nice pictures here. I am a uniform artist myself and was just wondering if you have any idea of the colour of Czech tankers overalls? I have searched but just can't seem to find a lot of information about them.

Zared,
As far as I'm aware and I'm no expert.

The Armoured units were called assault chariots and were part of the infantry and cavalry, with collar patches accordingly and uniforms as their respective units.
Collar patches were red for infantry and yellow for the cavalry.

In 1920 soldiers wore on his left forearm blouse and jacket a sewn felt 6 cm diameter khaki circle, with a brown arrow in the middle pointing diagonally upwards to the left.

After 1930 there was a change to the badge.
The badge was reduced to 25mm and was struck from brass. It was now placed on both sides of the collar behind the colour patch.
According to the rank, stained brass privates and NCOs, silver Sergeants and gold officers.

Around 1935 the circle and arrow badge was placed onto the colour patch and new unit number were added onto the collar behind the colour patch.
These number plates were oblong with curved corners and they followed the same colour scheme as the Assault Chariots badge, brass for privates and NCO's, silver for sergeants and gold for officers.

It was built on the experience of the uniforms vz.21 in a small area of armored vehicles. The uniform catching and tearing on the various tabs and extremely stained. Before unified practice uniform, used with a variety of cotton covers, which ran on the uniform vz.21.

The union suit or overall was the practice around 1932, this was a khaki suit of cotton, blouses closed on the exposed studs and tucking into trousers with a narrow belt.  The belt buckle was stamped with the national emblem. Rank insignia was worn on the right breast of the jacket and a panzer helmet was also included to complete the uniform.

I hope this is of some help,
Regards
WF
