An interesting organisation of Displaced Persons and ex-Free Polish Army members.
Clothed in dyed BDs, serving until the 1980s in a number of areas of the Britsh Army on the Rhine.
Does anyone have solid information on the rank insignia of these blokes?
I am told it was silver lace on the shoulder straps, can someone confirm and elaborate?

If I remember [long time ago] it was silver lace on the shoulder straps.
The one guy that sticks in my mind was I believe polish, strong as an ox, with a love of vodka and garlic cloves.
The latter was chewed vigorously while embracing you in a bear hug on entering the bar.
Not only polish either, there appeared to be quite a number of nationalities among the MSO’s.
