British German Legion 1856

Hi,
I am intrested in the uniform and the Regimental Colours of the short lived (about 1855-1861) British German Legion. Do you perhaps have any information or an idea where I can start searching?
So far I have only found the photo at:

which gives one an idea but not really much to work on.

I have something somewhere, I think an article in an old copy of Military Modelling. Its about the Swiss Legion but the Germans were in the same boat.
The uniform was British Army pattern with blue facings from memory.
Got so many books and things lying around its difficult to see them all.
The photo is of a German uniform so was probably his old regiment.

The article on the British Swiss Legion, 1855-56, by Philip Hogan, appeared in the May 1984 edition of Military Modelling.
