Hard to believe - WWII Soviet

I would have pegged this fellow as an officer in Custer's 7th Cavalry in the 1870s, but he's really a Soviet officer in WWII.

Nice photo,
Branch insignia would have been good, at a guess the awards/medals are;
Order of the patriotic war and Victory over Germany.
