Argentinean Military (title changed to extend subject)
A very basic rank chart taken from a document dated may 96, needless to say the document has far more information than my single brain cell could translate from the original Spanish.
Note that the insignia for the olive green uniform appears to be more star like than the conventional Argentinean stars.
What I can find out, which isn't much, is that the army appear to have used the green uniform as a cost cutting exercise to save on the more expensive camouflage uniforms, using the green uniform as a combat uniform for training.
I'm unable to say for certain if this is actually the case, it may just be a case of bad translation on my part but if you are strapped for cash then why not use cheaper gear for training.
Regards
WF

Very good Bill! I especially like how you included the subdued variation
I assume the rank of Private wore no rank insignia?

Chris,
No mention is made of any grade/rank badges below the rank of Cabo/Corporal.
The document [pdf] is:
Visto lo infomado por el jefe III - Operaciones..
El JEFE DEL ESTADO MAYOR GENERAL DEL EJERCITO RESUELVE
Buenos Aires 17 Mayo de 1996.
Various uniforms are illustrated but as with most of these publications the quality varies from good to bad.
Also examples of corps badges, epaulets, shoes, bags, and hats, you get the picture.
It weighs in with 213 pages at just of 7MB, using the original Spanish text you may be able to find it yourself or I could try and email you a copy.
Regards
WF

Air force 1930s
Here’s a chart for the Air Force around the start of WWII.
Please feel free to correct any mistakes.
Most of the information was taken from a very good site at http://www.militariarg.com/

Chris,
what can I say, link worked fine yesterday.
I will contact the site owner and ask what's wrong.
As soon as I have the reply I will let you know what's happening, could just be server problems.
