Dident officers also wear shoulder rank insignia? Or was that only RSI National Republican Army officers who wore shoulder rank insignia?

Re: WWII officers shoulder boards, Italy.
during WWII , European fronts,Italian Army( and black shirts also) have not insigna on tha shoulder staps : Post 1943 RSI and Royal Army both have rank insigna on shoulder straps. In Africa Army and MVSN have Corp Insigna and rank insigna on black ( red for Carabinieri and light blue for African Police)shoulders staps piped with Corp color ( red infantry, yellow Artillery etc). Ranks are 1,2, 3 stars for junior officiers ( 2LT, Lt and Captain) the same for senior officiers ( major, LT COL. and Col.) but with a gold piping around; Generals sholders straps in silver with Royal Eagle and stars . Before 1940 also in Europe like in Africa but on Gren-grey shoulders straps . Air Force and Navy the same ranks criteria , with a a Royal Crown as badge and shoulder straps Sky Blue and black .
